In the Tomplay app you can share annotations with your students. Once you have shared an annotated score with your student, this score becomes collaborative. You will be able to add annotations that will be displayed directly on your student's screen and vice versa.
In order to share content with a student, you both need to have an active Tomplay account, and have bought or downloaded the same score.
1. Invite your students:
You must send an invitation to your student, even if they already have a Tomplay account.
Click on “Profile” then “My students”. Enter the name and email address of your student and click “Send an invite”.
If your student already has a Tomplay account linked to the email address you have provided, their status will immediately be “Active” and you can therefore start sharing content with them.
If your student does not have a Tomplay account linked to the email address you have provided, their status will be “Pending”. Your student will receive an invitation by email and should follow the steps provided to create a Tomplay account.
2. How to share annotations with my students:
Once you have annotated a score, click on “Score” at the top left-hand side of your screen, then on the arrow icon to the right of the annotated score title. Follow the steps to share the annotated score with your students.
Once you have shared an annotated score with your student, it becomes a collaborative score. You can therefore both add annotations which will be automatically displayed on the other person’s screen.
To find a shared annotated score, your student should first buy or download the corresponding score.
To do this, they should click on “Profile” then “My teachers” and click on your name. They can then select the corresponding score title and they will be automatically redirected to the correct score to download or purchase it.
The annotated score you have shared will be displayed directly in the corresponding score, under the column “Score” at the top left-hand side, or in “Profile” then “My teachers”.
Your student can then annotate the score you have shared, and you will be able to automatically see their annotations.
You can also make a copy of a shared score to save in your personal scores. You are the only person who has access to this copy, so you can keep track of an annotated score without it being modified by your student. To make a copy, click on the square icon to the right of the shared score title.
